The electronic medical record module was designed to allow the user to display and search patient files in an intuitive way. It's design includes simple to use tools to add data to the database. These tools were designed by clerical staff to be intuitive and efficient to use. Scanned documents can be scanned into the medical records system using a batch scanning process. Documents are loaded into the automatic document feeder and can be scanned in the background while in the foreground they are assigned to a chart by the drag and drop method. Typed documents can be typed in any word processor that the user likes to use. Once the document is created it can be transfered into the database by using the cut and past method using mouse or keyboard. Dictated documents can be entered into the database in the same method as typed documents. These documents can be printed from the database and can be modified in the reverse process. Simply select the document in the database and past it into your favorite word processor, when done paste it back into the database. It's just that simple.
SOAP codes are used to break down information in the chart for easy viewing. Information can be displayed by all soap codes or by individual soap codes. Each chart also contains a section for patient history. The patient general information notes section in a chart contains information such as past medical history, past surgery, habits, etc. These headings can be added as required This information can be updated by the physician. Once information from the chart is selected to be viewed is is displayed in report format which can be printed at that time.
Also provided for each chart are Lab Flows, Lab Ranges, INR Results, Patient Demographics and the ability to print Labels with a label printer, reporting functions by SOAP Codes, and edit and print functions for the Patient's General Information.
